Forty-one Dallas ISD schools opted to take on the intersession calendar for the next school year.
The intersession calendar is one of a couple calendars approved by the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees in January to mitigate learning loss. It adds five weeks of classes spread throughout the school year.
DISD had been receiving feedback from school faculty and staff and students and their families.
A complete list of schools switching to the new calendar can be found here.
Sam Tasby Middle School and Jill Stone Elementary School at Vickery Meadow are among the 41 schools adopting the intersession schedule.
