The Lake Highlands High School drill team can’t host their popular winter clinic in person due to the pandemic, so members are taking their Dancing with the Dettes virtual Monday. Future Highlandettes, ages kindergarten to 6th grade, are invited for a fun afternoon of dancing at home from 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
The workshop is open to all Richardson ISD feeder elementary schools and area private schools – and anyone who enjoys a little music and movement is invited to join – but the dancers aren’t kidding when they say the program is focused on girls who dream of being future Dettes. Over years of hosting the fundraiser, the team has seen dozens of girls return to earn coveted spots on the Highlandette line.
To register, parents should go online here to pay the $20 fee and receive the Zoom link. A Dette swag bag may be picked up Feb. 11.
