Ready to plug into a new podcast in 2021? Of all the shows popping up on a variety of subjects, W Magazine has named Annie Kreighbaum’s “Eyewitness Beauty” one of America’s best.
Kreighbaum, a 2008 Lake Highlands High graduate, created “Eyewitness Beauty” with Nick Axelrod-Welk. The two previously collaborated at “Into the Gloss” magazine, where Kreighbaum served as executive editor, and Glossier, a skincare and makeup line.
“This is a great new podcast,” raves W’s Christina Holevas. “Personally, I’m nostalgic for the heyday of fashion and beauty blogs, so I’ve tried tuning in to podcasts as a substitute. Nick and Annie have great taste and are wonderfully fun to listen to.”
On their website, Kreighbaum describes the project as “a beauty and pop culture podcast by industry insiders.” Weekly episodes thus far have included discussions with former J. Crew president Jenna Lyons, actor/writer Clark Moore and Moon Juice founder Amanda Chantal Bacon. Nick and Annie have also opined on Kylie Jenner’s confusing low shower water pressure, shared reader-submitted favorite products and discussed the challenges of building a new business.
