In the video below, the division arrived to their first stop at Medical City Dallas on Dec. 11. They also dropped off goodies for nurses at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and the local jail.

Officer Bervin Smith kicked off the initiative last week after seeing extensive news coverage of the long hours nurses have been working. Smith said the division is looking to continue this support for COVID nurses and extend supplies to other nearby hospitals in the future.

While the first round of donations concluded last Friday, Smith said the station located on Northwest Highway and Audelia Road will continue to accept monetary or food donations for future distributions.
