A group out of the Texas Women’s Foundation awarded $250,000 in grants to 15 nonprofit organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that support the Black community.
The Village Giving Circle hosted a virtual presentation Nov. 8 to award grants to the following nonprofits:
- At Last Inc.
- Bridges Safehouse Inc.
- The Chocolate MINT Foundation
- CitySquare
- Educational First Steps
- Family Gateway
- Girls Embracing Mothers
- Golf 3:16
- Hope Supply Co.
- Interfaith Family Services
- Mercy Street
- New Friends New Life
- The Senior Source
- St. Philip’s School and Community Center
- Under 1 Roof
“The Village Giving Circle is honored to partner with 15 amazing non-profit organizations that continue to serve the most urgent needs of the Black community in North Texas, especially during this year’s challenges,” said Lisa Montgomery, the group’s co-chair and founding officer, in a release. “Our members have met the moment of need in our community this year.”
The group was organized in 2017 with the mission of honoring, sustaining and expanding the legacy of African American women’s philanthropy by funding organizations that positively impact the African American community in North Texas.
