CC Young stopped allowing guests in March at the start of the coronavirus pandemic. A light reopening began in August, and in September, the facility invited families back on campus for window visits, allowing relatives to se their loved ones through the glass.

Visits had to be scheduled to allow for social distancing, and visitors had to be screened to ensure they had not been exposed to the virus.

In-person visits will adhere to many of the same policies, according to a letter from Stacy Hitt, vice president of resident services.

The two-hour visits can be scheduled once a week Tuesday through Friday, with Saturday visits coming soon. Each resident can have two designated visitors, but only one visitor at a time can be in the apartment.

Guests will be tested for the coronavirus through a rapid antigen test at their own expense. Visitors must wear masks and face shields during the visit, and residents must wear their KN95 mask.

Any items to be delivered to residents will be removed from visitors’ vehicles and sanitized through CC Young’s disinfection process. They will be brought to residents’ apartments.
