Early voting begins Tuesday in Texas, with all registered voters eligible to vote at any open location in the county. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 Sunday afternoons. Early voting ends Oct. 30 and Election Day is Nov. 3.
Early voting locations in and around Lake Highlands include Audelia Road Library at 10045 Audelia Road, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 7611 Park Lane, Richland College at 12800 Abrams Road and Lochwood Library, 11221 Lochwood (where we hear lines have been shorter). You can find the location nearest your home or workplace here. Poll workers are available to assist voters with special needs, and that information can be found here.
Poll workers are required to wear masks, and voters are strongly urged to do so. For additional safety, election officials suggest bringing your own pen and hand sanitizer.
More information, including acceptable identification and instructions on voting by mail, can be found here. You may view your ballot here.
