Who remembers Kip’s Big Boy?
These students from Lake Highlands High School pose with the mascot in 1967, the year the sixth Kip’s Big Boy Coffee Shop in Dallas opened in Lakewood.
The location at 6215 Gaston Ave. was also the 10th shop in Texas.
Now, you can see Kip’s Big Boy at Gary Isett’s yard on Abrams and Trammel in Lakewood.
