Another ghost kitchen concept has popped up in Lake Highlands. From Dean Furbush and chef Thaddeus Duprey comes Kitchen to Kitchen, a collaborative effort built on the values of unconditional respect for people and for the planet. This past January, Kitchen to Kitchen launched its first delivery-only concept called Meatball Kitchen. They launched their second concept, Sweetbasil Thai Kitchen this past August.
Meatball Kitchen offers Italian-inspired sandwiches and pastas, as well as creative sides, like the polenta fries or arancini mozz tots. The latter is comprised of white wine risotto wrapped around a molten mozzarella center.
Sweetbasil Thai Kitchen offers a menu of Thai-inspired delights curated by chef Nan Bunyasaranand from Thailand. The menu includes classics like pad thai and pad see ew, as well as sticky tamarind pork ribs. These light but filling ribs are braised, deep fried, then glazed with sticky sweet tamarind and garnished with fried garlic.
Meatball Kitchen and Sweetbasil Thai Kitchen offer pick-up at their Revolving Kitchen at 520 Shepherd Dr., Garland. They also offer delivery via GrubHub, Uber Eats, DoorDash or Favor in the Lake Highlands and Garland area.
