Hope Harbeck captured a cool 3 inches at her house near Forest Meadow Junior High, and Eileen Cason observed flooding at Royal Oaks Country Club. Kim Jensen snapped these pics of high water along the White Rock Creek Trail between Merriman Parkway and Abrams Road behind Alamo Drafthouse. Equipment left by construction crews building the new trail addition was almost completely submerged, and the copper-colored trail bridge is just barely visible.

Weather.gov says normal rainfall for the entire month of August is 1.87 inches. Today/Monday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high temp of 98 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday are predicted.
