A man is in custody for a fatal shooting on July 4.
On July 4, around 4:00 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at the 12700 block of the N. Central Expressway Service Road, according to DPD.
Police found a man in his fifties who had a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Officers responded to a second shooting call at 12900 Coit Road, regarding a woman who had also been shot. After running to a nearby convienence store, she was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The shooter was arrested and taken into custody. He was located by patrol officers nearby, and he admitted to the shooting after an argument. The shooter faces murder charges.
