Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies opens June 8 at Lakeridge Village

The Marble Slab Creamery & Great American Cookies store at Lakeridge Village postponed their debut in March due to the coronavirus, but now they’re ready for a big grand opening June 8 to welcome all of Lake Highlands to their new digs.

Marketing manager Brookelyn Dickson says patrons who “like” their Facebook page, “share” one of their posts counting down to the big day and “tag” the store and a friend will be eligible to win their choice of a free ice cream cake or cookie cake. The Grand Opening Special, valid only on opening day, is “buy one cookie, get one free.”

Marble Slab hand-crafts ice cream in small batches and invites patrons to select candies, fruit and other ingredients to be mixed in by hand on an ice-cold marble slab. They also create ice cream cakes with flavors like Peanut Butter Chocolate Overload, Snickers, Snackers, Snuckers and Savannah Banana Fudge.

The menu at Great American Cookies includes everything from traditional Chocolate Chip to Double Doozie sandwiches with icing in the center to cookie cakes with personalized messages. You may order online and/or have cookies shipped to your favorite college student, aging parent or birthday boy.

You can follow the new Great American Cookies & Marble Slab Creamery – Lake Highlands on Facebook here. Lakeridge Village is at Walnut Hill and Audelia. The new shop is next to Subway facing Walnut Hill.
