Sparked by local protests, Lisa Lozano DePoy posted online to see if Lake Highlands moms would be interested in a frank discussion about race.
She received hundreds of responses.
DePoy organized four different dinners on Tuesday, June 23 so these women could have these difficult discussions, even opening the door of her own home to strangers.
Councilman and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough helped DePoy connect with Dallas Dinner Table, an organization that fosters conversations on race between strangers over dinner tables.
