Gale Lewis, Paul Elkjer and Robert Walne at Exchange Club of LH Oktoberfest
After awarding thousands in grants to nonprofits earlier in April, the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands recently approved $137,000 in college scholarships for 45 deserving seniors from Lake Highlands High School. The awards bring the club’s scholarship total given over the past 24 years to more than $2.5 million.
The following recipients were selected:
- ECLH Board of Directors Scholarship: Elizabeth Arnold and Xzavier Chikurunhe
- Exchange Club of Lake Highlands: Goodness Agabi, Mercy Ayeni, Priscilla Beltran, Amber Bowen, Shiloh Breedlove, Samuel Brokaw, Lucy Hamilton, Imari Jordan, Isaac Kamara, Angela Landry, Maya Lotfy, Abigail Machaj, Lauren Moran, Diana Ponce and Katharine Spaulding
- Frances and Herb Walne Family: Caleb Parker
- Smitty’s Scholars – Wade Smith Foundation: Tiyah Braxton and John Hutton
- Melinda Lee Memorial: Madeline Claire Hardt
- Patsy Lee Memorial: Trent Fantini
