Neighbor Dalas Van Syckle’s front yard is causing debate.
Flying high on his front-yard flag pole is an American flag covered with an image of President Trump and the statement, “Keep America First.” The City of Dallas says the flag is a code violation because it’s political campaigning, but Van Syckle say’s it’s just a show of patriotism.
“My argument is it’s not a political sign. It’s a sign that supports my country and my president,” he told KTVT.
The city doesn’t allow political signs to be more than 8 feet above the ground. The city has sent three warnings since January, and now Van Syckle has a citation.
Van Syckle says he’s “planning to take it to court and fight it.”
