A Dallas police officer working out of Northeast Patrol has tested positive for the coronavirus on March 19, Culture Map reports.
The female police officer has been isolated and is currently doing well.
Three of her coworkers met the definition of close contact and are currently being quarantined as a precaution.
Currently, the department is working with the Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services “on any other steps that need to be taken” regarding the coronavirus case.
Police said they have issued 3,200 bottles of hand sanitizer, 6,000 boxes of gloves and cleaning products for squad cars.
