The game was a nail biter with a final score of 34 to 33.

The game came down to the final seconds, with 30 seconds remaining Forest Meadow was down by one point. Brooke Bouldin was fouled on an attempted layup and made both her free throws to give the girls a one point lead and clinch the game.

“This is a very unique group of girls. This is our third, and final child, coming up through the Lake Highlands school system and I have never before seen a group of girls so athletically gifted,” parent Stephen Bouldin wrote to us in an email.  “I had a conversation with FMJH coach Brian Rote and he agreed that going undefeated for two years is a fantastic, and elusive, accomplishment.”

Their record over the two year period is 22-0, including tournament play, meaning they never lost a junior high game. They also won the district volleyball championship this year and will have a banner hung in their honor at FMJH at a future date to add to last year’s banner.
