Porch pirates steal thousands of packages per year
Steve Noviello from Fox 4 News will share the latest tricks used by thieves and solicitors and give tips to protect your family, finances and packages during the holidays. Noviello is a 20-year consumer rights advocate and 7-time Emmy winning journalist.
Also at the meeting will be consumer protection experts from the U. Postal Inspection Service, the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the Dallas Police Department’s Financial Crimes Division.
The meeting, hosted by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough’s ALLinD10 Public Safety Committee, the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District and the Northeast Division of the DPD, will be held Nov. 19 at the LH Recreation Center, 9940 White Rock Trail. At 5 p.m., C.C. Young Senior Living Center will provide a light meal, and Noviello will speak at 6.
