Rolling Stone praises Penny and Sparrow’s ‘White Ferrari’

Rolling Stone magazine has high praise this week for Penny and Sparrow, comprised of 2004 Lake Highlands High grad Kyle Jahnke and longtime musical partner Andy Baxter. They’ve named the folk duo’s cover of Frank Ocean’s “White Ferrari” one of the “10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now.”
“The video’s location – the empty floor of an anonymous warehouse, lit solely by the daytime sun spilling through the windows,” gushes Rolling Stone writer Robert Crawford, “stands in stark contrast to the performance itself, which is highlighted by the lovely harmonies of Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke.”
