“The prevention of crime in our community is a shared responsibility between law enforcement and residents,” DPD posted to Facebook in their announcement of the gathering. “We consider it essential that we join hands with police in an active campaign to reduce crime.”

All community members, including HOA and crime watch representatives, are invited to attend. DPD leaders will raffle RING doorbells and share updates on robbery, burglary and sexual assault. Chamberlain Self Defense Studio will give a demonstration.

The meeting will be held Nov. 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Highland Oaks Church of Christ, 10805 Walnut Hill Lane.
