Dallas ISD Principal Sandra Barrios is being honored as one of the nation’s best school leaders.
Barrios is principal at Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary and was among 10 principals selected from across the country last week to receive the Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding School Leadership from U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.
The principals were chosen from this year’s group of 362 National Blue Ribbon Schools, announced in September. Jack Lowe was one of three Dallas ISD campuses to receive the designation, alongside Walnut Hill Elementary and Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet, and one of 27 schools to be picked from Texas, according to Dallas Morning News.
