On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, Lake Highlands Junior High brought in mariachis to perform during the school’s lunch hour. 30% percent of LHJH are Hispanic with 245 students and 38% of students in RISD are Hispanic, according to the Texas Tribune.
