Policemen with children at Forest Audelia shopping center
Neighbors gathered all over Lake Highlands Tuesday night to celebrate National Night Out. The event was created 36 years ago to encourage cooperation between law enforcement agencies and neighborhood groups, and HOAs hosted cookouts in parks and on front lawns.
This year, Project Safe Neighborhoods, the crime-fighting partnership of federal, state and local agencies, sponsored an outreach with the LH Public Improvement District at Forest-Audelia.
