
Former Wildcat football player Brandon Bor drowned at Joe Pool Lake Saturday afternoon
Lake Highlands High 2013 grad Brandon Bor drowned Saturday afternoon in Joe Pool Lake. The former Wildcat football player and track standout had been seen swimming near the beach at Lynn Creek Park, and several callers reported him missing about 3 p.m.
Grand Prairie Fire Department divers found Bor under water and transported him to Medical City Arlington where he was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. He was not wearing a life vest and had been under water about 30 minutes before he was found, officials said. His death was ruled an accidental drowning.
A wake will be held Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at Eternal Rest Funeral Home’s large chapel, 1400 N. Hampton, DeSoto.
