Colinas Royale Apartments, Royal near Abrams

A 13-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl were hospitalized after being shot early Tuesday morning, Fox 4 news reports. The shooting occurred at the Colinas Royale Apartments in the 9400 block of Royal Lane near Abrams Road. The boy was shot in the back of the head and the girl was grazed by a bullet.

Dallas Police responded about 2:15 a.m., and the victims were taken to Dallas Children’s Hospital. Both were conscious and able to speak while being transported.

The shots came through the walls from outside the apartment according to police. Officers searched for a shooter, but no arrests were made. The DPD gang unit is now investigating.
