LulaMade Biscotti Bar

The moms planning this year’s Wallace Elementary Spring Market have recruited 50 of the most creative artists and merchants from all over Texas and beyond, and half are new this year. Vendor guru Veronica Deats and her committee, Stacie Bon, Lauren Pardue, Amanda Stevens and Mary Nichols, gave me a sneak peek at the new booths they’ll unveil when the market opens Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m.

Here’s the scoop.

Vickery Place Designs’ Sandy Sorrels, herself a Wallace grad, makes gemstone keychain bracelets and beaded lanyards favored by teachers. Marla Ravkind and Priscilla Morales sell Miss Pris bling, including girls’ tanks, leggings and gifts embellished with mermaid sequins. Hunter Ross of Lovely Enoch creates watercolor art embroidered with textured accents.  LulaMade Biscotti Bar uses ingredients like Mozzerella Co. Deep Ellum Bleu Cheese, walnuts and cayenne or lemon juice, blueberries and vanilla to make yummy biscotti.

Onderkast is a paper goods and letterpress shop in Deep Ellum, and they’ll bring colorful gift cards with snappy sayings. Primary Scouts sells pencil and marker pouches, perfect for birthday presents and teacher gifts. Eggs and Bakie was created by Goulla Angelides, a London native who creates sumptuous goodies baked here in Dallas.

Lyonesque Design Co. makes farmhouse signs for events and home décor. Wildflowers Clothing sells colorfully Instagrammable playwear for boys and girls. The Drop Dead Delicious Pickling Company crafts artisanal pickles using fresh ingredients and unique spices. Prosper Candles, a ministry of Dallas Christian Women’s Job Corps, empowers women who are one step out of crisis, including addiction, incarceration and homelessness.

Entrance to the Spring Market is free, but bring your card and a little cash. You won’t be able to resist these gorgeous gifts and quirky finds.

Proceeds will benefit students and programs at Wallace. The market will be held at the school, 9921 Kirkhaven, near Ferndale and Church Road.
