November 8: Half Price Books Signing
Dallas Morning Newssports-writing staffer Marjorie Herrera Lewis debuts her book, When the Men Were Gone, about the first female high school football coach in Texas in 1944.
November 9: Christmas Comes Early
For those of you who have already started listening to Christmas music, we have good news. The Arboretum is opening two holiday exhibits today: the 12 days of Christmas and the Artistry of the Nativity. The 12 days of Christmas features 12 elaborately-decorated gazebos with wintery scenes and costumes characters. There’s not much description on the Artistry of the Nativity, so report back if you figure it out.
November 10: Health and Safety Fair
Geared toward children with special needs, the fair features health screenings, games, giveaways and free coats for kids. For more info about attending or volunteering, email bervin.smith@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us.
November 11: Breakfast & The Grinch
AMC and La Duni at NorthPark are teaming up for one epic morning. Enjoy a specially curated breakfast at La Duni and get a ticket to see The Grinch. We aren’t sure exactly what’s on the menu, but we hope it’s Grinch-themed.
