NCL members will collect coats and diapers for Pamper Lake Highlands
Wait! Instead of throwing away those too-snug winter coats your kids can’t wear, the girls of National Charity League hope you’ll donate them, instead. The NCL is hosting a winter coat and diaper drive for Pamper Lake Highlands, and they will accept contributions Nov. 10 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Highlands Oaks Church of Christ parking lot.
The Lake Highlands chapter of NCL was founded last year and brings moms and daughters together for the club’s three pillars – philanthropy, service and culture. Girls join as 7th graders and learn time management, etiquette and dedication to the community through a variety of social events and service projects.
In addition to coats for children aged 0 to 5, the girls are collecting hats, gloves and scarves for needy families served by PLH. They’re seeking diapers sized 4, 5 or 6 along with baby wipes.
Highland Oaks is at 10805 Walnut Hill Lane.
