Driving at a high speed in the middle of the night on relatively quiet Plano Road near Forest Lane, a 30-year-old man struck another car and killed a female passenger.
The speeding driver, who failed to recognize a red light, fled the scene on foot before police found him in a nearby backyard, according to the Dallas Morning News.
He faces manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid charges. Names of anyone involved have yet to be released.
