Camp Sweeney’s Play for the Day

Perfect weather is projected for Camp Sweeney’s Play for the Day Memorial Day Monday at Lake Highlands Town Center, with Taco Diner offering breakfast tacos to go and Yogurtland donating 10% of sales from 10-1. On the patio between Fish City Grill and Taco Diner, Camp Gladiator will warm up runners before the start of the 5K while artisans set up booths to display and sell their wares. There will also be a 1K fun run and other family activities, and there’ll be live music.

Funds will go to Camp Sweeney for children with juvenile diabetes. Despite their need to test blood sugars, regulate their diet and administer shots of insulin, these children enjoy the full camp experience.
