“JUNGALBOOK” opens this weekend at the Dallas Children’s Theater. See an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s 1894 story of Mowgli, a boy who learns lessons of loyalty and friendship in the jungle with the animals that raised him. The show is geared toward ages 5 and up. Tickets are $23-$28.

Even your dog wants to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Bring your favorite furry companion to Flag Pole Hill for the Dog Dayz of Dallas, featuring contests, food trucks, scavenger hunts and pet vendors. Fido needs a leash to attend the event, slated Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free.
