The Halstead sleigh is now decorated and ready in their yard

After our story about the theft of Freddie and Amy Caron Halstead’s sleigh a couple of weeks ago, the family got a call from KXAS Channel 5 news. Their tale of The Grinch threatening to ruin Christmas was seen all over the metroplex on the evening news.

One woman, though, couldn’t forget the family when she clicked off the TV. Julia Shiflett donated a replacement sleigh, now decorated and ready for the holidays in the Halstead’s yard.

“She’s a really nice lady,” said Freddie of the Heath resident.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
