Lake Highlands is a neighborhood people come back to. Chances are, if you’re not a graduate yourself, you know at least a few people who attended Lake Highlands High School “back in the day.”

That’s why we were delighted to find the video below, a highly produced documentary about the launch of the school in 1964. (We’re not getting into the whole “what year did the school launch” debate again, we already covered that.)

Created by Glasswave Video in Fort Worth, the video includes interviews with the class of 1964’s students, teachers and parents, along with some fantastic early images of our neighborhood. It was created to celebrate the class’ 50th reunion in 2014.

For more of those good memories, check out our nine-part series from that 50th anniversary, which includes all of the schools early memorable moments from Olympian Elliot Archilla to the Lake Highlands mom who hired a hitman.
