Seeking a little blessed assurance that your kids will have a successful school year?
Lake Highlands United Methodist Church will host their annual Blessing of the Backpacks Sunday, Aug. 20 during all three services. Students can bring their backpack to the altar to receive a blessing and a commemorative bag tag. The back-to-school event was popular last year – more than 300 tags (and blessings) were given.
LHUMC hosts worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The church is located at 9115 Plano Road at McCree. All are welcome.
