McKinney police say that Gonzalo Aguilar was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 380 near FM 1827 about 7 a.m. when he stopped on the shoulder of the road. He pulled out to attempt an illegal U-turn and hit Trey on his black Yamaha motorcycle. Trey was thrown from his cycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigating officers tested Aguilar’s sobriety when they observed signs of intoxication at the scene. A search warrant led to a blood test and Aguilar was arrested.

Trey is survived by his parents, James and Jane, and his sister Alison Lewis and her young family. He was especially proud of Allison’s son, his nephew, Henry. Funeral arrangements are pending.
