Freshmen choirs at Lake Highlands High School are preparing to present their annual patriotic show, “A Salute to America,” and they are inviting veterans and active service men and women to join them in the audience. The concert will enable the entire community to honor those who serve with song.

The concert will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 7 p.m. in the LHHS auditorium.

This Friday, May 12th, LHHS choirs will host their spring concert, featuring favorite songs from throughout the year and concluding with the traditional “Benediction.” Alumni of the LHHS choir program are invited onstage to join in this moving finale.

The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. in the LHHS auditorium.

Both shows are free.

    Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates. She has an MBA from SMU and is the proud recipient of the Exchange Club of LH's Unsung Hero Award and Councilman McGough's Blake Anderson Public Service Award. She received LHHS PTA's Extended Service Award, FMJH PTA's Charger Award and a Life Membership from the LHFC PTA. She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
