Members of LHHS Espree

The entertainment world is in the thick of “Awards Season,” enjoying the thrill of live performances and historic talent. Lake Highlands High School’s pop vocal group Espree will share their own homage as they present their spring show, “Espree Goes to the Awards.”

This year’s show will feature many award-winning songs and popular British pop and rock numbers, including music from the Beatles, George Michael, Adele, Coldplay and Phil Collins. There will also be hits from American artists including Aretha, Carole King, Glen Campbell and Norah Jones. Espree will share songs from stage and screen, including Wicked and Pitch Perfect, among others.

The show caps off a busy year for Espree members, who performed at FMJH Market in the Meadow, Medical City Hospital, UT Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center, NorthPark Mall, Park Cities Baptist Church and C.C. Young Senior Living Center, before finishing with a concert for skiers at Winter Park ski resort in Colorado.

Espree Goes to the Awards will be performed February 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. in the LHHS auditorium. Tickets are $12 for reserved seats, $10 for general admission and $5 for students.
