RISD Book Fair
The annual Richardson ISD Council of PTA Used Book Fair is coming, and that means donations of books are needed now until Feb. 6th. You may drop off your contributions – hardbacks, paperbacks, children’s picture books, DVDs, CDs – at LHHS and most LH-area schools or to the RISD PDC (Professional Development Center). Proceeds go to the J.J. Pearce Memorial Scholarships for graduating seniors at all four RISD high schools and for RISD teachers to pursue graduate degrees or continuing education.
Mark your calendar also to shop at the event: the Used Book Fair will be held Feb. 16-19 at the PDC, 701 W. Beltline at Floyd. You’ll find real bargains – hardbacks are $2, paperbacks half that – but the fun is in the discovery.
