Highlandettes perform at halftime.
The time is now to register your K-9 aspiring high kicker for the fall 2016 Dancing with the Dettes dance clinic, where the bigger Lake Highlands High School Highlandettes share trade secrets with the next generation.
The workshop runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday Oct. 7 in the large gym at the high school.
The day begins with learning a routine, complete with pom poms, followed by lunch.
At 2:30 p.m., parents are invited to watch what the kids have learned.
At 6:30 p.m. participants prepare for a pregame show at the varsity LHHS versus Coppell football game.
Participation at the game is not mandatory, and there is a $5 discount for those who can’t make it to the evening portion.
A $55 fee goes to the Highlandette Booster Club, which supports travel and other drill team necessities.
