Can You Dig This?
Three Lake Highlands school gardens – Skyview Harmony Garden, Moss Haven Farm and Merriman Park Outdoor Learning Center – are coming together to host a one-time screening of Can You Dig This?, a documentary about food justice and social change. The film follows four revolutionary urban gardeners in South Central Los Angeles and their call for neighbors to “put down their guns and pick up shovels.”
The LH screening will be held Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. at NorthPark’s AMC theater. Tickets are $13.75 each and can be reserved online here (75 reservations are needed to make the screening happen).

Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates.
