The Cats won last week’s Flower Mound Tournament by defeating the host squad. First place winners Dominique Neros and Daniel Kidd and second place finishers Socrates Salinas, Carlos Zumwalt and Miguel Baltazaar were among 11 varsity wrestlers competing against students at 11 other high schools. The JV team had a great tournament, as well, with Joseph Nixon, Omar Cardenas and Dyla Ghoreishi placing first and John Allen, Brandon Anderson and Brad Dabrowski finishing second.

This Saturday’s meet, co-hosted by Plano East and R.L. Turner, begins at 9 a.m. at LHHS and is free and open to the public. The district championship meet will be held Feb. 6 at Richardson High.
