“I am honored to have nominated you,” said McGough in a message on social media, “and know that you will do an exemplary job representing our community and our city.”

Threadgill retired from DCAD in 2013 after 23 years. He worked as Manager of the Commercial Division, where he was known – even by those opposing him in the sometimes contentious value appeals process – as honest and fair. DCAD values residential, commercial and business personal property, which enables school districts, cities and other entities to collect taxes.

Threadgill is active in the LH Exchange Club and loves Wildcat football. He and his wife, Kay, a former English teacher at LHHS, have three daughters.
