If your kid wants to perform for big Wildcat crowds, he or she will have a chance this month to feel the love of adoring crowds. The Lake Highlands High School varsity and JV cheerleaders and the Wildcat Wranglers will be hosting clinics to teach kids as young as five-years-old, and the students will become the stars in performances at Wildcat basketball games.

The cheer clinic is open to K through 8th grade girls and will be held Saturday, January 23rd at LHHS. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. and the clinic runs from 1-4, with a “parent show-off” during the last 15 minutes. Girls will learn jumps, technique, chants and dances and should wear shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes. The cost is $40 and registration is online here. Girls will perform in the Feb. 5 game against North Mesquite.

The Wrangler clinic is open to boys and girls in grades K-6 and will be held Monday, January 18th from 1-3:30 while the kids are out of school for MLK. Again, students should wear shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes (not boots). The cost is $30 and registration is online here. Kids will perform at the Friday, January 22 basketball game against Mesquite High.
