Photographer Kathleen Wilke’s Lady of the Lake series captures the ethereal beauty of White Rock’s cherished ghost story. The model is former Woodrow Wilson High School student Katie Shank.
In the Halloween spirit, I spent the latter phase of my evening watching scores of ridiculously bad youtube videos, and a few decent ones, about the Lady of White Rock Lake and other area hauntings. Here are a few of the better ones. At the end, I’ve included a link to our 2011 “Haunted Lake Highlands” cover story, which I think is pretty dang good, considering some of the other stuff out there.
3. WhackedMovies offers little in the way of phantasmagoria, but quality images of our beautiful — and, yes, eerie if you look at it in a certain way — White Rock Lake, as well as ample educational narration related to the Lady of the Lake legend.
