Dallas police detectives have identified a person of interest related to an aggravated sexual assault last week at an apartment complex off Audelia and slightly north of the Skillman-LBJ intersection.
A female was inside her residence at about 9:30 p.m. when a black male unknown to her entered her apartment and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.
Police say his modus operandi suggests he might have committed similar crimes before.
“During the commission of this offense, the suspect ordered the victim to do specific things that would minimize the evidence to be collected by police,” a spokesperson says. “This indicates that he may have done this before. However, we are unaware of any additional offenses at this time.”
Due to the sexual nature of the crime, the victim’s identity is protected.
The police released a sketch based on the victim’s description of her attacker: “Medium build with short black hair and brown eyes, 28-32 years old, 5’11, wearing jeans and T-shirt” at the time of the invasion.
Be alert for anyone matching this description in the vicinity of this reported offense, police say.
Information called into Crime Stoppers that leads to the arrest and indictment for this or other felony crime is worth up to $5,000. Call 214.373.TIPS, preferably between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
