Dallas homicide detectives are asking the public to help them solve the August 10 murder of 19-year-old Nijel Savage Smith.
Police found the young man shot to death inside a unit at the Sontera Palms Apartments at 9505 Royal Lane, near Abrams, at about 11:30 a.m.

“Nijel was my first born and to think someone would take my child away from this earth is devastating to me,” she writes on the page. “This was unexpected, and to think I would have to bury my child is heartbreaking, if there’s any way that anyone could help by donating anything that will be deeply appreciated in our time of need.”
