David Carl does Shakespeare
Lake Highlands High School graduate David Carl is making a name for himself abroad in a bizarre and possibly ingenious rendition of Hamlet, reports the Observer.
Yvonne Craig, “a pioneer of female superheroes,” died this week at age 78. Craig starred in the Dallas-produced movie “Mars Needs Women,” about which appears an engrossing post on Flashback: Dallas. The 1966 movie features the piers and filter building at White Rock Lake (aka, Martian headquarters).
As school resumes in Richardson ISD next week, the Morning News updates us on some of the things the district did with the remaining 2011 bond money.
