New Steak’n Shake
A new Steak ‘n Shake is going in at Park Lane and Abrams Road. The popular fast food franchise will share a building with Exxon’s Flash Mart and occupy the space of the former Church’s Fried Chicken.
The restaurant is being gutted now and is expected to open mid-June.
“Could be sooner, could be later,” the Flash Mart manager told me. “This weather’s crazy.”
Ah, construction.
Steak ‘n Shake’s website, which says the company was founded in 1934, offers tantalizing photos of premium steakburgers, creamy milkshakes and chili cheese fries. The restaurant also serves country-style skillet breakfasts and egg sandwiches from midnight to 11 a.m. They will continue to have a drive-thru.
