Elementary School Night

Elementary School Night

The Wildcat baseball team is hosting Elementary School Night at the LHHS Ballgame Friday, with kids running the bases after the game and selfie ops with their favorite varsity players.

Senior Reed Thomas, who plays first base and outfield, says it’s one of his favorite nights all year.

“We invite the kids because we know how much they enjoy coming to the games. That used to be us, and now we need to give back. We love having every kid here, because we like putting smiles on their faces.”

The Cats are 2-6 in 10-6A competition, but a win against Richardson Friday could bump them to the middle of the pack. (The remaining district schedule can be viewed here.)

“We are playing way better than we were at the start,” says Thomas. “I think we will end up competing well the rest of district play and end up in the playoffs.”

And Thomas has a personal message for the LH community.

“I hope y’all can come out to the rest of the games! Having a ton of people there creates a ton of energy for the whole team. We appreciate y’all’s support.”

Admission is free for games, and the varsity plays at 7 p.m.  Parents run the concession stand, which serves homemade hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and more.  Go Cats!
