Lake Highlands, are you ready to meet the district 10 candidates for Dallas City Council? I can’t hear you! C’mon, let’s get excited!
OK, OK — we know. I’ve encountered many a Dallas dweller who knows nothing of a local election this May. I know Lake Highlands, while perhaps not enthused, at least has the election on the radar, right? We realize local politics can cause tired head, so we tried to make meeting your candidates simple, easy and, depending on your mood, relatively amusing. Our singular goal is to inform readers about the election and encourage you to make an informed vote. After all, this is an important election.
We interviewed three city council candidates, two times each — one brief policy related Q&A and one “lightning round” interview. Over the next six weekdays we will share each video. We will post them in order of how the candidates are listed on the election ballot. If you can’t wait, you can watch them all here.
First up is James White. These questions obviously offer but a glimpse of the men who wish to represent District 10. Attend a district 10 forum — there is one Thursday at the Audelia Library at 7 and a debate Monday at the Lake Highlands Freshman Center at 7 p.m. — to learn more about these candidates.
